Greater Than Us All

GREATER THAN US ALL

(written by Kenneth Cope)

Before we all came to earth

We lived together with God in His world

He helped His children progress

Yet, One advanced so much more than the rest

He was greater than us all

Then Father offered a plan

He’d send us off with a way to return again

But this required a spotless man

One who’d be worthy to free us from sin

Someone greater than us all

And God’s most humble Son

Was the greatest One of all

We looked on Him

God’s best Son

Would He give His great life for us

Pay the price for all our sins?

And knowing no other could

He humbly said He would

He was greater than us all

God’s most humble Son

Was the greatest One

Every heart felt of His love

For us He’d come

The greatest One of all

More Than Just a Boy

MORE THAN JUST A BOY

(written by Kenneth Cope)

(Joseph:)

My Mary

You’re having a baby

A Savior

From Heaven He comes

An angel

Told me what to name Him

He’ll be Jesus

You’re having a Son

But He’ll be more than just a Boy

More than any man

So who am I to help this Boy

I’ll do all I can

Yet, it is He

Who will help me

CHORUS:

He is Messiah

He is the Holy One

Come to free His people

Son of the Highest

Sign of the Father’s love

He is the Lamb of God

(Joseph:)

My Mary

(Mary:)

Dear Joseph

You’re having a Baby

God’s sending His Son

A Savior

Messiah

From heaven He comes

We’ve waited so long

An angel

An angel

Told me what to name Him

Spake words sent from God

He’ll be Jesus

Jesus

You’re having a Son

He’s coming to us

But He’ll be more than just a boy

He’ll be Lord of all

More than any man

So who am I to help this Boy

God’s almighty Son

I’ll do all I can

Yet, it is He

He

Who will help me

Will help me

REPEAT CHORUS

He is Messiah

Savior of the world

He is Messiah

More than just a boy

Sent from His Father’s throne

More than just a boy

Helping His people home

His Hands

HIS HANDS

(written by Kenneth Cope)

From the days on His mother’s knee

Like no other before, He was all that a boy should be

Then the Boy became the Man

Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb

His hands—tools of creation

Stronger than nations, power without end

And yet through them we find our truest Friend

His hands—sermons of kindness

Healing men’s blindness, halting years of pain

Children waiting to be held again

His hands would serve His whole life through

Showing man what hands might do

Giving, ever giving endlessly

Each day was filled with selflessness, and I’ll not rest

Till I make of my hand what they could be

Till these hands become like those from Galilee

His hands—lifting a leper

Warming a beggar, calling back the dead

Breaking bread, five thousand fed

His hands—hushing contention

Pointing to Heaven, ever free of sin

Then bidding man to follow Him

His hands would serve His whole life through

Showing man what hands might do

Giving, ever giving endlessly

Each day was filled with selflessness, and I’ll not rest

Till I make of my hand what they could be

Till these hands become like those from Galilee

His hands clasp in agony

As he lay pleading, bleeding in the garden

While just moments away

Other hands betray Him out of greed, shameful greed

And then His hands are trembling

Straining to carry the beam that they’d be nailed to

As He stumbles through the streets

Heading for the hill on which He’d die

He would die

They take His hands, His mighty hands

Those gentle hands

And then they pierce them, they pierce them

He lets them because of love

From birth to death was selflessness

And clearly now I see Him with His hands calling to me

And though I’m not yet as I would be

He has shown me how I could be

I will make my hands like those from Galilee

Never a Better Hero

NEVER A BETTER HERO

(written by Kenneth Cope)

Making His home with the lonely

Spending His days with the poor

Bringing hope to their hearts

Giving man a new start

With His cure

But not all would receive of His offering

Some even planned His decease

And yet He could not forsake

Those whose lives He might save

So He refused to leave

CHORUS:

Never a better hero

Never a truer man

Hoping to save us

By taking our pain in His hands

Never a greater compassion

Never a wasted day

Not one regret

True to the end

There was never a better way

Now He knew His life would be shortened

But never murmured a word of complaint

For He had in mind a much greater design

And it helped Him through the pain

He gave men power to take Him

Knowing His death would bring life

And it was no surprise

There was love in His eyes

When He died

REPEAT CHORUS

But death was not the end

For He would live again

REPEAT CHORUS

All that He did

Follow and live

There’ll be never a better way

No Other Name

NO OTHER NAME

(written by Kenneth Cope)

Since time began

Since Adam came

When has one man

One single name

Brought so much change

Eased so much pain

As the Babe of Bethlehem

He became earth’s greatest Man

Who else but He

Fathered by God

Ruling the seas

Moving the world

Came with such love

Then gave it all

Countless voices have so praised His name

CHORUS:

No other name

Has been so heard

No other man

Has brought more good

No other name

On earth that saves

Than the name of Jesus

Lord Jesus

Jesus Christ

No other name

Though man may search

He’ll never find

A hope more sure

A treasure more prized

Than knowing Him

Who knew no sin

He can bring us back to God again

REPEAT CHORUS

I'll Believe in Him

I’LL BELIEVE IN HIM

(written by Kenneth Cope)

I’ll believe in Him

All my life

Though the world turns Him away

How could I begin

To doubt in Him

No one else could be

More real to me

I’ll remember Him

Every day

Why He lived and why He died

And when I’m faced with sin

I will turn to Him

If I seek Him I shall find

CHORUS:

I’ll believe in Him

I’ll believe in Him

And this I’ll prove

In all I do

So when He comes again

He will call me friend

As I breathe

I’ll believe in Him

I will follow Him

Through the years

I will make His work my own

Keep His words with me

Love my enemy

Live to help my neighbor home

REPEAT CHORUS

He has won me with His love

He has given me so much

And for as long as I live

I will say it again and again

I believe in Him

I believe in Him

And this I’ll prove

In all I do

So when He comes again

He will call me friend

As I breathe

I’ll believe in Him

He Comes / Alleluia

HE COMES / ALLELUIA

(written by Kenneth Cope)

All the saints await the day

When the Lord of glory comes to earth again

And the time is drawing nigh

When we’ll see the King descending through the sky

In company of angels

Ten thousand strong

With all the powers of heaven

Lord Jesus comes

He comes

And Babylon shall pale with shame

As righteousness prevails again

And Israel’s God prepares to reign

He’ll reign

Even now the hour is near

So the warning voice goes out for all to hear

Who will hear

Soon the final trump shall sound

And the Lamb will bring His people in the clouds

Arrayed in robes of brightness

The waiting done

Hosanna in the highest

Messiah comes

He comes

He comes again

He comes to reign as King one thousand years

Sing Alleluia

Alleluia, Alleluia

Alleluia Reprise

More than just a boy

More than just a boy

Face to Face

FACE TO FACE

(written by Kenneth Cope)

If the earth could give its witness

All creation shout its praise

If the continents and oceans

Spoke to man of their devotion

Would mortals doubt Him so

If all were now made known

If the faithless of the ages

Were to feel His healing power

If the eyes and ears He opened

Might be theirs for just a moment

Would it soften hearts of stone

If He were truly known

Face to face

So few were in that place

When heaven sent Messiah

To reclaim this fallen race

If I could stand atop the mountains

And sound His name in every ear

If I had power to tell His story

Like the angels have before me

Would more sins be swept away

If the world could sense the debt He paid

Face to face

I’ll seek Him all my days

He means more than life to me

Death can’t take that away

But if I can’t convince a world

Then perhaps I’ll reach a soul

As I tell of how He’s changed me

How I wait for Him to take me—home

Then I’ll worship on my knees

And kiss once wounded feet

Though He knows of my praise

One day I’ll tell Him

Face to face
