Hi Lynda! Yes…a great lesson for all of us to learn. We can’t get Him in our debt. Besides…He already wants to give us EVERYTHING! All He requires are the fruits of our genuine love for Him and our fellowmen.

I’m ashamed to say that I am just now getting going on my reading here. Thank you for these gems of truth and inspiration.

I learned long ago, through a difficult trial that we can never make the Lord indebted to us. We can never presume that He owes us anything but what He has promised, which is all that He has, once we have done all we can here to show our Love for Him and each other. Reading your words of wisdom just further solidifies that principle to me.

Well thought out article. Good points. It made me think about how all things in the gospel are vicariously based, from blessings to ultimate salvation, it is always because of the work of others on someone else’s behalf.
